The Hijos de Salvador Rodríguez, SA cheese factory (Quesos El Pastor) has been awarded two medals this weekend in London, in celebration of the world's most prestigious international cheese awards, the WORLD CHEESE AWARDS.
In this edition, Hijos de Salvador Rodríguez, SA (Quesos El Pastor), has obtained two awards:
GOLD for the Zamorano Cheese with designation of origin, Oveja Añejo El Pastor.
BRONZE for the Sheep Cheese log El Pastor.
At the World Cheese Awards 2014, more than 2.600 references from 33 countries have competed, with a jury made up of more than 250 judges.
With these awards Hijos de Salvador Rodríguez SA already adds 13 medals, in the last 5 years, in this prestigious competition, something that endorses the quality of the quesos El Pastor, present in international markets and opens doors to new markets.

The BRONZE medal awarded to the Sheep Cheese log represents a recognition of innovation, since Hijos de Salvador Rodríguez, SA is the only factory in Spain that produces sheep cheese log.
The start-up, in 2014, of a new production plant, for the production of cheese log, represented a commitment to a new product practically unknown to the national consumer. In less than two years, log matured goat and sheep cheese are made, and in different flavors: with papaya, with pineapple, with pepper, etc.
The GOLD medal for the Zamorano Cheese with designation of origin of Old Sheep El Pastor, is a recognition of tradition, a job well done, consistency, essence and values that drive the day-to-day life of Hijos de Salvador Rodríguez, SA The quality of Zamorano Cheese is also recognized with this medal, a cheese unique, of high quality thanks to the raw materials from which it is obtained (milk from churras and Castilian sheep), with an indelible texture in memory.
